Some moments catch you completely off guard—in the best way. For us at Aeroview Design Co., this was one of those moments.
At the 2025 Celebrating Design Texas Awards, hosted by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), our very own hangar studio took home First Place in the Commercial Industry Collaboration category. And while we’ve poured our hearts into countless luxury homes and aviation-inspired interiors, we never expected our studio—the heartbeat of Aeroview—to be the project that would win our first award.
It was a full-circle moment.

Our hangar studio isn’t just an office—it’s where vision takes flight (literally and creatively). Located inside an active airpark, the space is designed to inspire. It’s where we meet clients, sketch dream floorplans, build custom finishes, and breathe life into our aviation lifestyle design philosophy.
This space is uniquely us—bold, elegant, and intentional. It reflects the clarity and focus we bring to every project, and we knew it had to function as both a creative hub and a luxury destination in its own right.
A Beautiful Collaboration with California Closets
The success of this project was only possible through a beautiful partnership with California Closets. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail elevated every corner of the space. From the built-ins that balance both beauty and functionality to the display shelves that highlight pieces of aviation history, every element was carefully curated to reflect the Aeroview brand.
It was more than a build—it was a collaboration rooted in mutual creativity and respect.
Becoming a Multi Award-Winning Designer
With this win, Ariel Merk—founder and principal designer of Aeroview Design Co.—officially becomes a multi award-winning interior designer. That recognition is humbling. But more than the title, it’s a testament to the vision, the work, and the belief that design can truly transform the way we live, work, and fly.
This award means the world to us because it’s tied to our roots. The very space where our dreams take shape is now recognized as one of the best in Texas.
